Herbal Remedies

The AcuGraph digital meridian imaging system is a computerized tool used to analyze and document the energetic status on acupuncture meridians.  It is a pain free, non-invasive procedure that provides an integrated approach to your healthcare.

Acupuncture meridians are energy pathways in your body that have been used therapeutically for over 5000 years.  These meridians conduct life-force, or “qi” in and around all parts of your body.  Blockage or interference in these meridian pathways can result in energetic imbalances that may contribute to negative health conditions.

The primary goal of acupuncture treatment is to restore energetic balance and flow within these meridians thus allowing your body to function normally to facilitate the natural healing process.

Diagnostic Testing

Micronutrient Testing

Vitamin, mineral and antioxidant deficiencies have been shown to suppress immune system function, which can contribute to a variety of degenerative processes such as arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.  Standardized micronutrient tests measure intracellular vitamin, mineral, antioxidant, and amino/fatty acid status within your white blood cells, which convey how well nutrients are utilized at the cellular level.

Research based evidence reveals that micronutrient deficiencies are associated with inflammation and chronic illness, therefore affecting physical and mental health and ultimately quality of life.

Telomere Testing

Telomeres are sections of DNA at the end of each chromosome that serve as a cap to your genetic material.  Every time a cell replicates, its telomere will become shorter.  Shorter telomeres imply a shorter lifespan for a cell.

Age adjusted telomere length is the best method to date to assess biological age using structural analysis of chromosomal change in the telomere.  Serial evaluation of telomere length is an indicator of how rapidly one ages relative to a normal population.  Therapies directed at slowing down the loss of telomere length may slow aging and age-related diseases.

Nutrigenetic Testing

Nutritional genetics, known as nutrigenetics, focuses on identifying a person’s genetic predisposition to respond in a particular way to a given dietary nutrient.

Healthy DNA insight is a comprehensive test aimed at assisting both physicians and patients to achieve a healthy body weight and improve your overall health.  It tests a variety of genetic markers that influence your response to diet, metabolism, and exercise as well as your propensity to develop certain health conditions and your likely response to specific medications.

The Immuno Bloodprint for Food Allergies

When you eat healthy foods your body will usually digest and assimilate them properly. Digestion breaks food down into simple components which can be easily absorbed and utilized nutritionally. The immune system “recognizes” these components as beneficial once they are absorbed into the bloodstream and does not react against them.

In some cases foods are not completely digested and large complex components called macromolecules are absorbed into the bloodstream. The immune system does not “recognize” these macromolecules as beneficial and thus mounts a defense reaction against them. This is termed as “food sensitivity’ which can result in a variety of symptoms including weight imbalances.

Recently, delayed food allergies were recognized as the most commonly undiagnosed contributing factor to chronic inflammation and disease.

Hormonal Balance for Men and Women

Salivary testing and follow-up monitoring are crucial for determining the most effective hormone balancing treatment program. Salivary testing is advantageous over other testing mediums because it allows you to assess your bio available hormone levels-what is actually available for use by the body.

The complexity of the endocrine system for both men and women during andropause and menopause, hormone testing is imperative to identify proper treatment options.
